Last Christmas, north Texas sent bombs to Gaza. This year, six north Texans will deliver a message for peace. All members of the media are invited to come to meet and question these fearless peacemakers and hear inspiring message.

· Where - Press Conference at the Dallas Peace Center on Cedar Springs.
· Why - Support Human Rights and Human Dignity of Civilians in Gaza.
Six north Texans will march for peace in Gaza this Christmas. They will join over a thousand international peace activists from 42 countries in a campaign to open the borders. Christmas trees can be recycled starting December 26 through January 10, 2010 at the following locations (mulch will be available in spring):
The Arlington landfill, located at 800 Mosier Valley Rd.
Calloway's Nursery located at 4940 S. Cooper St.
Christmas trees put on the curb on regular garbage collection days will be picked up, but not recycled.

Bring your Christmas Tree to one of the following locations from December 28, 2009 to January 15, 2010 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. (Please remove all tinsel, ornaments, lights, nails and tree stands before dropping off the tree for recycling)

FREE Mulch For Your Recycled Christmas Tree!
Free mulch can be picked up at the McCommas Bluff Landfill and the Bachman Transfer Station after January 1, 2010, and is available for residential customers only. Bring your shovel and containers! For more information call City of Dallas at 3-1-1.
Flower Mound
Christmas trees can be recycled from December 26 through January 10, 2010, at Gerault Park, located at 1200 Gerault Rd., between 8 am and 3 pm. Trees can also be dropped off in a designated area at this location after hours. City residents who desire mulch should bring their own containers.
Fort Worth
Christmas tree recycling will be curbside, on regular garbage collection days from December 26 through the end of January 2010. Trees cannot be longer than eight feet; cut in half as necessary.
Grand Prairie
Christmas trees can be dropped off for recycling at the following locations from December 26 through January 14 (mulch will be available at the landfill): Corner of SE 14th and Densman
Home Depot, 3850 Carrier Pkwy
Also, please don't forget to recycle your Christmas cards, holiday gift wrap, gift bags, gift boxes, cardboard boxes (no Styrofoam), tissue paper and your holiday party items such as aluminum cans, plastic and glass bottles!

never have, but it looks awesome. Long story short, 500 homeless people that
day will be checked into the Dallas Hyatt, served a banquet, and spend the night
in the hotel. There are volunteer shifts all day Christmas Eve and the next
day. We have signed up to volunteer at the Banquet from 12:30 - 2:30 and then
as Floor Monitors from 3:00-7:00.

Early this morning, the Senate voted 60-40 to move forward with health care reform legislation. Thank you to everyone who helped phonebank over the last few weeks, and especially Sunday, to make sure this happened.
Over the next few days, there will be four more votes on the bill under Senate rules, with the final vote on the legislation scheduled for 7 p.m. (ET) on Christmas Eve.
Today's vote was the hardest. But we're not going to take anything for granted. We'll be having phonebanks Monday and Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. at Dallas County Democratic Party HQ (4209 Parry) and Tarrant County Democratic Party HQ (3004 W.Lancaster) to make sure key Senators are getting thank you calls from their constituents. Join us if you can.
Again, thank you. What happened today was an historic step in passing a bill that will provide real and substantial benefits to millions of real Americans. And it happened because of people like you.
